Greetings from the US and the great-great grandson of John Hassett Gleason, of Borrisoleigh, who went on to fight in the Papal War, and then the American Civil War where he became a breveted Brigadier General and then returned to Borrisoleigh to fight for Irish independence with the Fenians, was arrested with his brother Joseph and Edward Finn, sent to Mountjoy Gaol and eventually returned to the US.
