Borrisoleigh Active Social Club

Borrisoleigh Active Social Club were delighted to receive an invitation from the Office of the Secretary General to the President of Ireland  to view the presentation of Credentials by new Ambassadors.

The ceremony is quite a formal one with an Army Guard of Honour which each of the Ambassadors will review.
When we arrive at Aras an Uachtarain Dublin on June 15 we will get a tour of the Aras and hopefully get to meet our President Michael D Higgins.
This is a day we are all looking forward to.

Borrisoleigh Festival News

The Borrisoleigh festival 2017 was officially launched tonight in Coffeys bar. It was attended by Brenda Ryan of Ryan’s pub in Camden St. Dublin who is the main sponsor of the festival again this year.

We also had the inauguration of our new Lord Mayor Mr. Paddy Dolan. After a few words from our Chairman Joe Loughnane, outgoing mayor Mrs Patrice Cooney presented the chain to Paddy. Following this we had music from All Ireland Senior Scór winner Katie Shanahan.
