Exploring the Acts of the Apostles with Sr. Therese Fitzgerald and the Irish Institute for Pastoral Studies

Over six nights, listen to God’s Word in the Acts of the Apostles and engage with some of the people you meet there. Hear dynamic stories about the first followers of Jesus – what was important to them, their concerns, how they discerned their way forward in difficult times and how they maintained hope. By learning from their experience, be transformed by the Word of God in your lives today.

First session will take place on Monday 8th November in St Patrick’s MIC Campus, Thurles OR Tuesday 9th November in Limerick Diocesan Centre, St Munchin’s, Corbally from 7.30-9.00pm and on Tuesdays 16th, 23rd and 30th November and 7th December. It can be accessed on Zoom from 7.30-9.00pm. The final session will be held on Monday 13th December in Thurles OR Tuesday 14th December in Limerick from 7.30-9.00pm.

Special Parish Collection

There will be a special Parish collection to support Trocaire in alleviating the humanitarian Crisis in East Africa. The Irish Bishops are asking parishes throughout Ireland to undertake a special Collection next week end (6th & 7th Nov) to invite the public to support Trocaire in its work to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in East Africa.  I would encourage you to give generously to this collection which will be taken up at all Masses next weekend.

Thought for the week

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everwhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family Amen.

As a thank you to Fr Hennessy for all his hard work in preparing and administering the Sacrament of Confirmation the school presented him with a picture as a token of appreciation.  Fr Hennessy is always a great support to the children and staff of the school.  We look forward to his weekly visits.  Scoil Naomh Cualán is very lucky to have Fr Hennessy as part of our school  community.
