News from Down Under!


Francis And Stas Collins spending Derby Day in Flemington race course, Melbourne with his sister Ann Slattery and husband James who are on holiday in Australia.


 


The Camogie Club will hold its AGM on Friday the 9th November 2012 at 7.30 p.m. in the Park. We are always interested in recruiting new players, coaches and volunteers who wish to help out in other ways, all are welcome and the AGM is the ideal time to come along and offer your services. So if you are interested in seeing the camogie club continuing to grow and get stronger please come along.
The date of the County Final for the Junior A team is set now for weekend of the 2ndDecember 2012. Holycross and Kildangan have to play for the runner up position of our group. The winners of this match will then play Kilruane in the semi-final.Hopefully these matches will now progress as planned and there will be no further delays. In the meantime the team continues to train and have challenge matches in preparation for the Final.

 Borris-Ileigh GAA News

U21 Hurling: We are down to play Nenagh next Saturday 10th November in Dolla at 2pm. This is the losers group so we have to win to stay in the competition. Your support would be appreciated on the day.
Junior C Hurling: We have got no fixture for this yet. We will let everyone know asap. In the meantime we need all players involved to keep attending training sessions.
The goalmouths and 21 yard areas are now finished so please keep from playing on them.

The club presents a Music Fest in the Templemore Arms on Saturday November 17th at 9pm. We urge people to buy a ticket from our sellers or come along on the night and support. Blue Moose are playing on the night a brilliant band along with supporting acts. A great night is expected.

The club extends its deepest sympathy to the family and relatives of Jim Egan who passed away recently. Jim always had a great gra for Borris hurling and was involved with the Harryjoes golf society where he played golf with many of the hurlers. Ar dheis de go raibh a anam dilis.

Upperchurch 7th Annual Walking and Cycling Weekend

Experience a torchlight walk on Friday Nov 9th and continue stretching your legs with a variety of walks for abilities ranging from 6km to 18km on Saturday and Sunday (through beautiful farmland, quiet country roads, hills and lowlands). 3 cycles on Sunday 11th commencing at 12 noon. If your legs are up for it after hiking through the hills, there is free set dancing lessons on Saturday evening.

Borris-Ileigh GAA
 
Join us on the 17th of November for a fantastic night of music, fun and frolics in The Templemore Arms with Bluemoose and Borris-Ileigh GAA.
