Hard Landing for Air Ambulance!

Assessing the damage

An Air Ambulance helicopter operated by the Irish Aer Corps had to make a "hard landing" in a field at Currabaha Cross on the afternoon of Tuesday 19th June.  The helicopter was on an Air Ambulance mission to pick up a patient nearby at the time and was coming in to land when it got into difficulties.  The 3 crew members on board didn’t sustain any injuries.  The patient was subsequently transferred to hospital by road.  There was plenty of activity afterwards as shown in the photos, when the Defence Forces arrived to remove the helicopter using their heavy equipment crane.

Senior Hurling:  The North Quarter Final is fixed for Thursday 28th June in Dolla at 7pm.  Your support would be appreciated as this is a very important game.  We wish the team and management the best of luck.

Junior A Hurling:  We play Toomevara in the next round.  It looks this match will take place in a couple of weeks time.  Notification will be sent out when confirmed.  There are still some players who have not paid membership, so we urge them to
do so immediately.  You can pay John Bradshaw our registrar our any committee member.  Best of luck to the Tipp team on Sunday.  Go mbeidh an bua agaibh.

Merchandise is available every Saturday in the Pavilion between 11am and 1pm or contact 087 9439531.  Our Church gate collection is on this Saturday & Sunday 23rd/24th.

We have had a lot of complaints about dogs soiling the playing fields in the park.  From under eights to sixteen are constantly using these fields and its not very nice for them to be stepping on such soiling.  Notices will be in place shortly to try and
stop this happening.  Some monitoring will also be in place.

The club extends its deepest sympathies to the family and relatives of Neddy Stapleton who passed away recently.  Ar dheis de go raibh a anam dilis.

Saints All-Stars

Paddy Stapleton, the organiser of Saints All-Stars has asked us to relay the following message regarding this year’s summer camp which starts on 13th August.

"As I want to order something nice for the kids attending the summer camp I will stop taking bookings on the 1st of July.  I don’t mean to cause inconvenience, I will just need to know the quantity to order by around this time.  I know it is annoying if you do not know if your child can attend this long before the camp, however last year I was very lucky to have just the right amount of gifts.  I would not like to disappoint any child by not having something for them when every other child gets a gift.  If you could book by the 1st of next month that would be greatly appreciated.  Please pass the word on to other parents if they do not know already."

Any queries just contact myself on 086-3328697
