 St. Theresa’s Green Flag Ceremony

Proud Principal and Pupils raise the Green Flag at St. Theresa’s

On June 23rd, The Feast of Corpus Christi, Fr. Irwin and Fr. Barry concelebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving to acknowledge the wonderful work of children and staff during the school year at St. Therese’s N.S. Following this, sixth class pupils proudly raised the First Green Flag. It was a very happy occasion for all concerned. Under Mrs. Kenneally’s guidance, the fourth, fifth and sixth class worked hard to fulfil the requirements for the awarding of the flag. Later, refreshments were served by parents in the school hall where an exhibition of all the children’s work during the year was displayed.

 Borrisoleigh Group in Lourdes

The beautiful Bascilica in Lourdes

On June 16th last a group of about 15 locals travelled on pilgrimage to Lourdes. They were among a total group of about 700 that travelled from the forty-six parishes of our diocese. The pilgrimage went very well and even the weather was good in contrast to last year when it rained every day! The local Lourdes committee wish to sincerely thank all who supported their recent fundraising collection. Your generosity is deeply appreciated.
