Finn the Potter has been busy at work in the school since Easter, teaching all the children how to work with clay. The Parents Council have generously sponsored this venture and already it is proving a great success. All parents will be able to view completed pieces before the holidays.

The children of second class in our three primary schools are busy preparing for their first confession and their first holy communion. First confessions will be celebrated on Thursday morning May 19th at 11a.m.and then first holy communion will be celebrated at the 11.30a.m. Mass on Sunday May 29th . We wish them all the very best as they prepare to meet Jesus in these two sacraments.

Quiet Time
Anyone searching for a little quiet time and space are welcome to the Community Centre each Tuesday night at 8p.m. where Christian Meditation takes place. New members will be gently initiated into this prayer of stillness and quiet. Enter by Pallas Stree door. Starts at 8p.m. sharp.
St Josephs College, Borrisoleigh Athletics News
Congratulations to all our athletes who won medals at the East Munster Track & Field Championships in Waterford on Wednesday 11th May 2011.
Jack Donovan, Newtown,Nenagh completed the gold double in the 100 and 400 metres. Sarah Ryan, Borrisoleigh won silver in the Walk, Michael O Donoghue, Dolla, won silver in the Hammer. Dean Leahy, Thurles won silver in the 110m Hurdles and Eamon Ryan, Upperchurch won Bronze in the Steeplechase.
All of these medal winners have qualified to represent Tipperary and Waterford region in the Munster Championships in CIT at the end of the month. Best of luck to them all.
