NOVEMBER REMEMBRANCE
Prayer by the Graveside
O Lord of life and hope,
As I stand at this grave I remember with love (name of deceased).
Thank you for the gift of them in my life.
I have been truly blessed by their presence,
Their words and actions, and their love.
The pain of their loss is a reminder of the depth of the bond we shared.
Give me the strength and courage to leave them in your care.
Help me O God, to realise that the distance between us now is not so great
and that one day in heaven, sharing in Your promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Thought for the Week
“Being humble means recognising that we are not on earth to see how important we can become, but to see how much difference we can make in the lives of others.“
