Scór Notes

Scór will make a presentation to Katie Shanahan in the Marian Hall on Wednesday 3rd May at 8pm. All are welcome. We are hoping that as many people as possible will attend in order to give Katie a good Borrisoleigh send off. Katie will sing in the All Irleand Final in Belfast on Saturday 6th May. The AGM of Scór will take place on Wednesday 17th May at 8.30pm in the Marian Hall. All are welcome.


Borris-Ileigh Camogie Club

U14’s had a great win over Moneygall on Friday night. Final score 2-04 to 2-03. Borris were up by 5 points at half time but Moneygall came back strong in the second half to almost draw.

Scores for Borris-Ileigh – Dani Ryan 0-03, Katie Fitzgerald 1-01 & Chantal Feighery 1-00.

Next fixture: Tues May 9th May v Burgess.

U12’s are training hard and play two games this week vs. Sliebh Felim’s on Tuesday and Drom on Thursday. Good luck girls.

U8 County Blitz was a great success last Saturday with all the girls loving the match practise and looking forward to the next blitz morning.


80th Birthday Celebrations

Tom Reid, Chapel Street, Borrisoleigh recently celebrated his 80th Birthday with family and friends 


Borrisoleigh Active Social Club

The monthly meeting for May takes place next Wed May 3rd at 8.30pm in the Community Centre. New members are always welcome.

Members from our club went to Brú Ború Cashel last Friday night to see the Willoughby Brothers launch their new CD. Another group of members went to a cookery demonstration in Fiacrí House last Tuesday . It was a great night and we have no doubt that everybody will be trying out the recipes at home.  Upcoming events include going to Manor Stone Garden Centre for a gardening presentation and Go For Life Sports Festival. Full details will be discussed at next weeks meeting.

First Steps Montessori

There was great excitement among all the children in First Steps Montessori when the Liam McCarthy Cup, the Harty Cup, the Croke Cup and the Irish Press Cup came to visit

Borrisoleigh Festival Notes

We will hold our annual church gate collection at all masses this weekend. Your generosity enables us to get the community together at the Festival.
