Tomás Max Memorial Shield Camógie Tournament

Aoife (number 3) challenges for possession at the Memorial Shield Camogie Tournament in honor of her dad

The Tomás Max Memorial Shield Camógie Tournament was held in the Town Park last Friday 23rd July. The competing teams were: Kilruane, Drom, Moycarkey and the home-side Borrisoleigh.

The competition was keenly fought with Moycarkey emerging as the final victors. Fiona Max presented the memorial shield and thanked everyone for their attendance at the event. Refreshments were provided in the pavilion giving everyone the opportunity to chat and recall the memory of the late Tomás Max.

 St. Cualan’s Day Out

The "young" Fr. Michael with some of the senior citizens and "a slightly older" Fr. Liam!!!
St. Cualan’s Annual Trip took place on Wednesday last July 21st. A "Cead Mile Failte" awaited us at Parker’s Restaurant, Holycross where we were served with an excellent meal. We then set sail to Brú Ború, Cashel where we were entertained to a show of traditional Irish music, singing and dancing. This was absolutely magic. Thanks to the organising  committee for giving us such a lovely enjoyable evening. Well done.

All dolled up with ‘somewhere’ to go!
