INTERMEDIATE: We had a great win on Sunday last against Moycarkey in Littleton.
Neither team had their full compliment of players on the day. It was a very windy day and Borrisoleigh took full advantage of this in the first half with Nicole Walsh scoring 1 goal and 7 points and Sarah Kinane scoring 1 goal and 2 points. Moycarkey scored 3 points in the first half. The second half saw Borrisoleigh playing against the wind and Moycarkey used this to their advantage, scoring 4 goals in quick succession and 2 points. Mary Bradshaw scored 2 goals in the second half for Borrisoleigh and Nicole Walsh added another 5 points to her tally. Sarah Kinane scored another point in the second half leaving the FINAL SCORE at:
Borrisoleigh 4 – 15 to Moycarkey 4 – 5 . Well done Borris..
Next match is fixed versus Drom next Sunday April 13th in Borrisoleigh at 11 am in Borrisoleigh. Your support would be appreciated.

The time sheet is now available and slots can be acquired from Martin Fahy. We encourage people to get their slot as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Over 100 teams took part last year and we hope to see the same and more this year. A team of 4 costs just €120

Borris-Ileigh Juvenile GAA

Hard Luck to our u12 footballers who put up a great first half performance against Silvermines last week. A strong Silvermines side came good in the last quarter to win the game. Our u12’s play Newport in the next round.
U14 as Shannon Rovers were unable to field a team we had no game last week. We are due to play Kilruane Mc Donaghs tonight Wednesday in round two of the Football Championship. The U14 Feile Hurling will finally get under way this Saturday morning at 10am where we are drawn to play Newport Gaels in the North Tipp quarter final. The North Semi finals and Final will both be played on Easter Monday.
Best of luck to all U14, U15 and U16 players who are currently attending trials for North Tipp Divisional sides.
The Club will hold its annual table quiz in the Marian Hall on Good Friday night. Your support would be appreciated for this enjoyable annual fundraiser. Again the questions will be set by Tómas Russell and will be suitable for young and old alike.
