Under 10 County Blitz:

On Saturday morning last, we witnessed a brilliant advertisement for underage camogie when the young stars of the future from the Borris-Ileigh, Thurles, Moyne Templetuohy and Knockavilla Donaskeigh clubs played the first of the County Under 10 Development Blitzes in Borrisoleigh.

Well done to all the girls for providing a brilliant morning of camogie.

Under 12s:

Our Under team travelled over the county bounds on Sunday morning last to play a challenge match against the Emeralds Club in Kilkenny.

Under 14’s:

Our Under 14 team kickstarted their championship campaign on Thursday night last with a hard fought victory over a very good Newport Ballinahinch team. After a good all-round team performance, the girls in maroon pulled away in the closing stages to record a 3-06 to 1-02 victory.

Under 16’s:

Our Under 16’s produced a very solid team performance last Wednesday night to overcome the challenge of Clonoulty Rossmore. A hat-trick of goals from Emma Maher in the opening half gave us a cushion at half-time and it was a lead that wasn’t relinquished in the second half as the girls ran out 5-11 to 1-02 victors.

Tonight (Wednesday),we face Boherlahan in the Park with a 7pm start.

Intermediates:

Our Intermediates had a good and well worth workout against Windgap, Kilkenny on Friday night last in the Park. After a hard fought encounter, we recorded a 0-12 to 0-07 victory.

Blitz Sponsorship:

Our club would like to sincerely thank John Cummins Engineering Services for kindly sponsoring water and fruit goodie bags for all four of the teams that participated in the County Under 10 blitz last Saturday morning.

County Duty:

Congratulations to Alesha Fanning, Therese Groome and Eve Maher who were all on county duty last weekend. Alesha was on the Under 16 ‘B’ team that played against Cork in Clogheen while Therese and Eve were part of the Under 15 team that also played the Rebel County.
