Borrisoleigh Active Social Club
Borrisoleigh Active Social Club are holding a Progressive 45 Drive this Saturday April 15th at 8pm in the Community Centre. €1000 prize fund. Entry is €10 and we are having a raffle with great prizes including 2 signed jerseys (Tipperary and Limerick). All support would be appreciated with funds going towards the purchase of outdoor exercise equipment. More details can be got from 086 3961211.
We would like to congratulate Keelan Chute who became a World Irish Dancing Champion last weekend in Montreal, Canada. Keelan has danced for us on a number of occasions and we are very proud of him.
A group of members went to Mount St Joseph’s in Roscrea last week. An enjoyable afternoon was had and we finished up with evening tea at Murphys in Templemore. Thanks to Tom our driver for the day.
Line dancing classes continue on Tuesdays at 11am in the Community Centre Borrisoleigh as does Chair Yoga class on Thursdays also at 11am in the Community Centre.
Scoil Naomh Cualán and St Joseph’s College
On Friday 28th of April, Scoil Naomh Cualán and St Joseph’s College will be in concert with the Ormond Octaves. The money raised by the concert will be invested in the school extensions that both schools are currently engaged in. It promises to be a wonderful night of entertainment with our school choirs performing with the fantastic Octaves! We will also have a very special performance, by Keelan Chute, the 2023 World Irish Dancing Champion! Please join us for a night to be remembered and to support our local schools.
