Getting stuck in!!
Students and staff at St. Patrick’s were treated to a lovely surprise on Tuesday morning last thanks to local chef and parent, Michael Galvin who arrived with a large batch of delicious freshly-cooked pancakes complete with lemon and sugar. Michael’s hard work and kindness ensured that Shrove Tuesday 2011 will be happily remembered for a long time. Such a lovely treat must have meant a very early start for him and was appreciated by all. Go raibh míle maith agat, a Mhichíl!
Well done also to the boys in 3rd and 4th who prepared a batch of their own later in the day.
Hard at work!!
Well done to Aaron Reid, Aaron Rabbitte, Oran Bergin and Aaron Donnelly who were awarded second prize at the County Tipperary Libraries ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’ Quiz at Thurles Library. Following a tightly contested competition involving a large number of schools from the Thurles Library catchment area, our boys emerged on joint marks with Gaelscoil Durlas. There was great excitement when the tie-break round led to victory for the Borrisoleigh boys. Comhgairdeachas daoibh, a bhuachaillí!
