Seán Keane in Concert

Come see Seán Keane live in concert in the Marion Hall Borrisoleigh on Saturday August 5th at 8pm. All proceeds of this concert go to Suir Haven Cancer Support Service in Thurles. Tickets cost €25 and are on sale from Joe at Finns Bar, Borrisoleigh or by calling Joe on 087-9778347. It promises to be a great night of traditional Irish, folk, country and blues songs in Seáns unique style and unforgettable voice.  Its a night not to be missed and all for a great cause.

Computer Classes

Internet and e-mail computer classes is starting up in early September in Borrisoleigh Community Centre through ETB (Education & Training Board). Only few places left.

If anyone is interested in this classes please contact the community centre office at 0504 50643 Thursday and Friday 9am – 1pm.

Senior

A huge congratulations to our Senior who have got through to the Division 1 County Hurling League Final after a great win over Nenagh Eire Og in the Semi Final last Sunday in a high quality encounter in McDonagh Park, Nenagh. We were victorious on a scoreline of 0-21 to 1-16. We now will face Drom Inch in the final which has yet to be fixed in what is sure to be a hotly contested encounter against our great rivals and neighbours. Well done to both players and management. The team that played was as follows:

U12

Well done to both our of U12 teams who have made it through to the North Hurling Championship finals in both the ‘A’ and ‘D’ grades. They were both victorious over Nenagh after two tantalising displays from both squads of which they can be very proud of themselves. A fantastic achievement for both set of players and management.

Minor

Our Minors also had an impressive win over Templederry/Ballinahinch in Round 5 of the North Minor ‘B’ Hurling Championship. They reigned superior after a 2-16 to 1-13 victory in the Park last Thursday evening.

Upcoming Fixtures

Firstly our two U12 teams will play their respective North ‘A’ and ‘D’ Finals next Saturday the 5th of August in Puckaun as part of a quadruple header along with both the ‘B’ and ‘C’ finals. The ‘D’ teams final will take place at 4pm against Toomevara followed by the ‘A’ final at 5pm also against Toomevara.

Our U14’s will take Kilruane MacDonaghs this Wednesday 2nd August in the North ‘B’ Quarter final in Borrisoleigh at 7pm.
