Cost of living crisis

Are you experiencing difficulty in paying your energy, food or other everyday bills due to the current cost of living crisis.
 
St Brigid’s Conference SVP, Borrisoleigh can help you. 
Requests for assistance can be made by phoning 086 895 1926 or by dropping a note into the SVP Postbox in the Community Centre, Pallas Street, Borrisoleigh. 
Requests for assistance towards energy bills should be submitted by Wednesday, 22nd.  March, 2023.
We will respond to requests soon as possible. 
We would like to assure everyone that requests for assistance are dealt with in the strictest confidence and with compassion and empathy.
 
 

Borrisoleigh Active Social Club

Borrisoleigh Active Social Club are holding a Progressive 45 Drive on Saturday April 15th at 8pm in the Community Centre.  €1000 prize fund and all members have tickets if anyone wishes to support it.  If you buy a ticket and can’t go there will be a draw for 2 spot prizes. All support would be appreciated. 

 

There will be no Pilates class on Tuesdays until May 9th . 

 

There is a line dancing class for members this Thursday March 16th at 11am in the Community Centre.  If there is enough interest it will continue on a regular basis.

 

Reminder for anyone interested in the trip to Kenmare Oct 8th that deposits(€50) need to be paid on or before April 5th.

HALLELUJAH’ CONCERT

Fr. Ray Kelly (Britain’s Got Talent Fame): Friday March 24th, 2023 @ 8.00 p.m.  Bóthar na Naomh Church, Thurles.  Tickets on sale in the Thurles Parish Office & Bookworm, Liberty Square, also available in Holycross Abbey Shop & Cashel Parish Office, (Ticket Donation: €25).  Fr. Ray became a worldwide internet sensation when the video of him singing, ‘Hallelujah’ was highly successful on YouTube and Fr. Ray also reached the semi-final of Britain’s Got Talent in 2018.  We are delighted to be welcoming him to Thurles for this concert in aid of the Cathedral Reroofing project. Special Guests on the night: Thurles Parish Youth Choir.

 

Anam Cara Tipperary

Anam Cara Tipperary the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding it’s monthly Parent Evening for bereaved parents on Monday 20th March at 7:15pm in the Horse and Jockey Hotel, Thurles. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not. Youth 2000 Retreat in Killarney

The Munster Youth 2000 retreat takes place in St. Brendan’s College, Killarney from the 24th – 26th March. Everyone aged 16 – 35 is most welcome to attend for all or part of the weekend.        See www.youth2000.ie for more info.

 

Spring Day in Dalgan 

Spring Day in Dalgan with John Feehan on April 1st 2023 (not an April fool joke). The cost is €30 with lunch included. Registration is from 9.30am and the day begins at 10.00am. As we will be outside for part of the day, suitable clothing and footwear is recommended. 

 

Scor Na pbasti County Final 2023

Congratulations to the boys and girls who won the County Final in the Nuachleas (Novelty Act) section of the competition.  Well done to all who took part in the County Final;.  You did us proud. 

 


Holistic Treatment Clinic

A new holistic treatment clinic is located upstairs over Centra, Borrisoleigh.  The entrance is the stairs on the outside of the building on the Nenagh side.  There will be signs in the next couple of weeks.

One month ago my family and I moved to this beautiful village in search of peace and quiet after the hustle and bustle of Budapest. 
The kindness and thoughtfulness of the people here is very welcome. 🥰
 
I am a cleaner, I put out my leaflets at the doctor’s, pharmacy and the Gala, please contact me, I am ready to help!
 
We are happy to live here and sincerely hope to stay for a very long time!
