Intermediates earn Semi-final Spot:

After a titanic battle away to Cahir on Saturday evening last, we earned the draw that was needed to secure a semi-final spot.

Teenage striker Ava Bevans hit her second goal in as many games to give the perfect start but Cahir responsed well to carve out a 1-07 to 1-04 lead at half-time.

We found ourselves 7 points down five minutes after the restart but our players showed tremendous character and leadership thereafter to claw their way into the game.

Holding their opponents scoreless for the final 30 minutes, a pointed free deep in stoppage time secure that all important point.

The final score was Cahir 2-08, Borris-Ileigh 1-11

Shanahan’s Centra Tomas Max Tournament:

We were treated to a cracking night of camogie in the Park last Friday night in the Under 10 Tomas Max Memorial Tournament which was kindly sponsored by Shanahan’s Centra in Borrisoleigh.

After 14 games, Toomevara were crowned the Division 1 Champions while Boherlahan Dualla secured the Division 2 title.

We would like to thank the Toomevara, Boherlahan Dualla and Burgess Duharra for participating in our event. A huge thanks to our referees, umpires, those who helped with catering, our photographer Patricia and to Gerry for having the field in tip-top condition.

Thanks to Shanahan’s Centra for generously sponsoring the event.
