Borris-Ileigh Camogie Club Notes

Defeat for Intermediates:
Our Intermediate team tasted defeat for the first time in this years Championship after coming up just short following a cracking game against Kilruane MacDonaghs.

A point in the last minute of normal time from Teresa Ryan looked like a share of the spoils was on the cards but a converted free deep in injury time sealed the deal of Kilruane.

Next up is a trip to Newport on Saturday evening next to play Newport Ballinahinch at 6pm.

Minors secure victory:
Our minors travelled to Holycross to play the host club and after a superb game, we emerged victorious on a 2-09 to 2-07 scoreline.

Trailing by five points at half-time,  the girls produced a superb second half performance.

Emma Maher and Aoife Fitzgerald knotched up 1-02 each from play with Emma adding a further four points from frees while Dani Ryan also chipped in with a point.

Next up is a home fixture against Boherlahan tonight (Wednesday) at 6:30pm.

Under 10 Challenge:
Our Under 10 team hosted Blackrock Effin from Limerick on Saturday morning last for a series of  challenge matches.

We saw some excellent camogie played from both teams and great fun was had by all.
