St. Patrick’s B.N.S.

Bush and Briar Ramblers

We enjoyed a lovely walk in Knockalough on Sunday 9th March. It is always a good challenge on those hills and a nice sense of achievement when its completed. The views were spectacular as we had a very mild morning and we only had a little mist at the end.

Watch this space for details of future walks. Happy St Patricks Day to all our Ramblers

St. Patrick’s BNS

St. Patrick’s BNS would like to congratulate our pupils, staff and all involved in the recent All-Ireland Scór na nÓg Léiriú victory and Scór na bPáistí Co. Final Novelty Act success. Well done also to our boys who achieved second place in the Trath na gCeist and to all who represented our parish so well. Congratulations also to our U-11 and U-13 teams who achieved second and third place respectively in the recent Credit Union Quiz. Comhgairdeachas daoibh go léir

Borris-Ileigh GAA Notes

Online Lotto: Our online lotto continues to grow and we would encourage as many people as possible to sign up to it. We especially appeal to Borris people outside the parish who do not have access to tickets on a weekly basis. There has been huge developments taken place in the club in the last 12 months and funds are vital to help us continue to build on the great work in 2013. Online lotto can be set up on www.borris-ileighgaa.com or you can contact Mark Stapleton on 086 8143486

Membership
: Membership is now due to all players and members. Registrars Martin Fahy and John Bradshaw and secretary Gerry Treacy will be taking membership. The cost for an adult player is €50 while ordinary membership is just €30. Membership forms are also available from Donal Hurleys Gala. The deadline for membership is the end of March so don’t delay. We urge as many people to sign up for membership. It is a vital source of income for the club and gives people a far greater chance to be involved with the club

County League:
On Monday 17th next, we take on Holycross in the 2nd round of the county league at 12pm in Borrisoleigh. We hope to see a big crowd in attendance to support the lads.
