After School Study

An After School Study Programme, in the Community Centre, will begin in the next number of weeks. It will begin on Monday September 19th and it is aimed specifically at secondary students. It is envisaged that this programme will have many benefits for those students that take part.

  • An ideal work environment, in close proximity to the school and the town square. Students will benefit from the ideal school atmosphere but will be removed from the physical school space thus making their study session feel like a ‘fresh start’ after school.
  • It will be an ideal opportunity to complete homework or to study for exams in a quiet, studious and disruption-free atmosphere. In such an atmosphere, a student can feel more confident in reaching their full potential.
  • Regular contact with parents will always be available as will study tips and extra help with various subject areas.

  • While the co-ordinator will maintain a relaxed atmosphere where students can work at their own pace and with their own methods, discipline will be strictly monitored for the greater good of all.

This programme will be available to students from Borrisoleigh and all local areas.

The fee will be €25 per week or €7 per day. This will allow students to be more flexible in how often they use the service. Alternative rates may be available from the co-ordinator.

The service will take place weekly, from Monday to Thursday.
To book a place or for further information, contact Jody @ 086-3976552.
