WHY? WHY? WHY?

How our bottle bank SHOULD look!!

We received the message below from a local person during the week – it speaks for itself.

As a concerned native of Borrisoleigh it is with a heavy heart that I write this item. It pains me to see the total disregard that some people have for the area. I am speaking about the use, or rather misuse, of the bottle bank area. As a main approach road into the village it gives such a bad impression of our lovely little village to see a heap of rubbish left beside the bins. When people go to the trouble of recycling, for the good of the environment, why would they leave their rubbish lying around for someone else to clean up? It defies logic. Simply put, if you recycle take home your rubbish and if the bins are full, take the recycling home and bring it back some other day. I appeal to anyone using the bins to do so properly for the good of all.  Please!
