Appeal for News

This is an appeal to those of you who are involved in various activities (limited as they might be in the current circumstances), not to forget to send us an email with a few lines and maybe a photo or two publicising what you are doing. The regular users of this site (particularly those not on social media) would like to see them and it will help paint a fuller picture of what is taking place in and around Borrisoleigh. We rely on you, the local community, to send us your news.

Thanks,

Borrisoleigh Website Committee

Borris-iIeigh Camogie Club Notes

Under 12 Challenge against Kilruane:

Our Under team are due to get their first taste of match play this evening (Wednesday) when they are due to travel to Ardcroney to play against Kilruane.

The game is down for a 6:45pm start but just check our Facebook page for confirmation of this.

Under 14’s Play Cashel:

Our Under 14 team play their second round of the Championship on Saturday next with a home encounter against Cashel.

The throw in is scheduled for 3pm. These girls have been putting in a great effort at training in recent weeks so if you’re around on Saturday,  call in to the Park and lend them your support.

Tipperary March On:

Tipperary’s progress in the Division 1 Littlewoods Ireland camogie league continued over the weekend when they overcame the challenge of near neighbours Offaly in the quarter final.

Their next part of the journey takes them to Nowlan Park on Sunday next where they will face Kilkenny as part of a semi final double header.

Congratulations to Borris-Ileigh duo Julieanne Bourke and Nicole Walsh who were part of the Premier team and we wish them the very best of luck in the semi final next Sunday.
