Development: Great work has being taking place in the park in recent weeks on our sports complex. As you will have seen the blocklayers have been doing fantastic work and the project is starting to take shape.

Of course all of this great work has to be paid for. A large number of people have signed up to our €250 per year (for three years) fundraiser. However we still require more people to sign up so we can complete and pay for the project in the time frame we have set out. We appeal to all those who have promised to pay into it to contact their promoter and make the payment. We will also be calling around to houses in Borris on Wednesday night next to drop off leaflets about making payments.

If you are interested in signing up and havent heard from someone you can contact Mark Stapleton, Henry Groome, Don Ryan, Bobby Ryan, Martin Ryan, Diarmuid Kinnane, Frank Cooney or Johnny Maher

AGM: Our annual convention will take place on Sunday evening at 7pm in the Pavilion. We would like to see as many members there as possible.

Scór

Scór held its set dancing Christmas Party in the Marian Hall on Monday the 19th December. A great night was had by all. Joseph Boyle entertained the dancers by singing ‘The Hills around Listowel’. Joseph will represent Borrisoleigh and Tipperary in Ovens, Co Cork on Sunday at the Munster final of Scór na nÓg. A presentation was
made to Joseph by Borrisoleigh Scór chairperson, Phil Maher. We would like to wish Joseph the very best of luck.

The set dancers danced the night away and the winning couple for the best dancers on the night were Sinéad Cowan and Harry Rabbitte. Everybody went home from the party happy as each set dancer was presented with a selection box for Christmas. Borrisoleigh Scór would like to wish everyone a Happy and Peaceful New Year.
