Lourdes Church Gate Collection



The Cashel and Emly Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place in June. The Borrisoleigh Lourdes Committee will be holding their annual Church gate collection on Saturday and Sunday 14th and 15th May in Borrisoleigh and Ileigh.

As this is our only means of meeting the costs involved in sending local deserving cases to Lourdes we very much depend on your generosity and we thank you for the support that you give to this worthy cause.

Congratulations to Eamon Ryan, John Ryan (Fantane) and Micheal Ryan who came 1st in the North Tipp FBD farm skills competition last Sunday May 8th.They will now go on to represent North Tipperary in the next round and we wish them the very best of luck. The competition which involves fencing and tractor skills was hotly contested among all the clubs in North Tipperary. Well done also to Alan Ryan, John Ryan (Glenkeen) and Matthew Carey who came 2nd in the competition beating Newport, Aglish and Devil’s Bit.

Junior A Hurling: Last Saturday evening we had a good win over Ballina at home. We have now qualified for the League semi-final. The date time and venue we will confirm when known. Your support would be greatly
appreciated for this match.
Senior Hurling: Our next match is against Nenagh and this is fixed for Sunday the 15th. in Toomevara at 7pm. Well done to Dan Mc Cormack and the Tipp Minors who defeated Cork last Sunday.

Club merchandise is available every Saturday in the pavilion between 11am and 1pm or contact 087 9439531.

This month the Tipp GAA Draw starts up again and anyone interested in joining this fantastic draw contact T.F.Stapleton or any committee member.

The club extends its sympathies to the family and relatives of Mary Harkin and Stephen Hennessy who passed away recently. Ar dheis de go raibh a anamacha dilis.
