Santa visits Fifi’s Tots Preschool


Santa Claus surprised the children in Fifi’s Tots Preschool last Friday morning by visting them.
He spoke to each child and heard their requests and reassured them that they were all on his nice list…


St Patrick’s BNS Nativity Play

Preparations are in full swing in First and Second classes in St Patricks Boys’ School for their nativity play. Third to Sixth classes are also preparing their carols and Christmas tunes to make this a most enjoyable Christmas event. Nollaig Shona daoibh go léir!

Recently, 22 members of Mid-Tipp Hillwalkers went on a memorable trip to Morocco. Their mission: to climb the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains, in North Africa, Jebel Toukal.  Donie Ryan of Rathcarden and Thomas Russell of Lower Street proudly represented Borrisoleigh.

Finns Pub of McDonagh Square recently hosted a reunion of The Loughnane Family of Chapel Street.  Despite the inclement weather conditions, more than fifty family members attended including some from Spain, England and various parts of Ireland.


Table Quiz
Maggie Bradshaw is holding a Table Quiz in the Community Centre on Tuesday, December 28th at 9pm to raise money for the Gambian Education Fund.  On the 3rd of January, she is travelling to Gambia with 20 other students from Mary Immaculate College for three weeks. While there, she will be teaching in a school. The money raised will be used to educate a child for a year and also buy much needed resources. Tables are €20 and there will be a raffle on the night.  All support would be greatly appreciated for this great cause.  Hope to see you there!
 

Fun Family Walk

North Tipperary Sports Partnership

Operation Transformation

are holding a Fun Family walk in Templemore

On Saturday 15th January 2011 at 2pm

The Route starts and finishes at Templemore Athletic Club
and will follow the local Sli na Slainte Routes (4.1km in total)

There will be trained IHF walking leaders on this walk and hopefully the Operation Transformation camera crew will be there too!
(Refreshments will be served in Templemore AC clubhouse at the finish)

Transition Year Students from St. Joseph’s College came to the Community Centre on Thursday Dec. 16th to sing Christmas Carols for the morning Mass-goers. They also served tea and buns to those who gathered and chatted about the goings-on in their world with their ‘slightly older’ listeners!!!
