Good Wishes to the Website Committee

"Just a word of encouragement to you all, so that you keep up the good work of organising the Website every week !!. I am really impressed by your fidelity to this task, and I can well understand how it can be difficult to get new photos and news items for each week. I appreciate your work and its always a little window into whats going on at home in the local parish. All the best and abraços from Matt Ryan in Brasil"

Borris-Ileigh Juvenile GAA Club

Fixtures & Results

Our U14 football team were narrowly beaten in the North Final by Burgess last Thursday in Nenagh on a scoreline of 1-5 to 1-3. In atrocious condition our young lads gave a tremendous display and at the end of the first half led by 1-2 to 0-1. However, Burgess came out much stronger in the second have and eventually drew level with a goal with only minutes remaining. Burgess then scored two points without reply to take the title. Congratulations and well done to our young lads on reaching the final they did themselves and the club proud. Well done also to Burgess and we wish them well in the County semi-final.

Hurling Parish League

The last round of the Parish League has not yet been fixed, all teams will be notified of time and dates by text.

Hurling Summer Camp

Registration for this years Hurling Camp which is part of the GAA VHI Cul Camps has now closed. Please note that the juvenile club will not be dealing with registrations after this week.
Any queries may be made to the camp Co-ordinator Brendan Kenny.

Peadar Cummins U14 Inter Divisional Tournament takes place in Borrisoleigh on Saturday 30th May. This tournament is in honour of a great stalwart of Borris-Ileigh Juvenile Club and always produces some great hurling from all the young players. Good luck to our own representatives Seamus Bourke and Matt Stapleton on the North division squad. As this is a busy day for the juvenile club it would be appreciated if all committee members could provide refreshments and be available to lend a hand on the day.
