St. Stephen’s Day event

A huge thank you to everyone who supported our annual St. Stephen’s Day event, as always we are so appreciative of the support we receive from everyone who participated and local businesses who supported our fundraising efforts. Your contributions are helping our Community Centre go from strength to strength and the Meals on Wheels programme is expanding to provide a  much needed service to vast areas of North and Mid Tipperary. The top three in the women’s race were, 1st Aoife Delargy, 2nd Eileen Ely and 3rd Jacquline Hughes.
 
The top three in the men’s race were, 1st Shane Maloney, 2nd Luke Duggan, 3rd Michael Kiely.

ANAM CARA

The organisation that supports bereaved parents, will hold its monthly Parent Support Evening on Wednesday 21st January 2026 at 7.30pm in the Horse and Jockey Hotel, Thurles. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or how recent their death was. Borrisoleigh Active Social Club

The AGM of Borrisoleigh Active Social Club takes place on Wed Feb 4th at 7pm in the Community Centre Borrisoleigh. Membership for 2026 (€20) will need to be paid by this date.

It was with great shock & sadness that we learnt of the passing of Joan O Dwyer last week.  Joan has been an active member of our club since its foundation 10 years ago. Our sympathies to Joan’s husband Tommy, daughters Denise & Lorraine and their families.  Are deis dé go raibh a hanam.  
 

Knitting and Crochet Group

Knitting and Crochet Group meet every Wednesday from 10.00am to 11.30am in the Community Centre.

Adult Set Dancing classes are taking place every Monday night in Finns Pub @ 8pm. Michael Cooney is running them. All are welcome.
